How to put on a wig with glue and tape adhesives

Lace wigs are no longer just for celebrities. Although many women buy lace wigs online or in stores, there aren’t enough qualified and affordable stylists to wear them. Some women prefer to wear wigs at home for privacy reasons, while others are reluctant to pay for such things themselves. Whatever the reason, here’s a simple guide to put on a wig with glue and tape adhesives.

Both the double-sided tape adhesive and the glue adhesive help keep the wig in place. You can choose a suitable one you like, but you should make sure that the product you choose is designed specifically for this purpose. Sometimes you can easily choose a wig that suits you, because some retailers sell adhesives along with the lace wigs.

How to put on a wig with glue adhesives

-Put the lace wig on your head. After the lace front is ready (including bleach, makeup, depilation), installation is required, which means using the lace front application – tape, glue or sewing.

-Pin the front lace to the back and clip the top of your head with a bobby pin. That way, you don’t get the extra hair glued on your forehead.

-Apply a thin layer of adhesive on a small part of lace front first.

-Depending on the hairstyle you want, you can choose to cut the babyhair.

-Press the lace wig to the spot where you apply the adhesive.

-Move on to the next section after this part of the lace front wig is firmly in place.

-Apply one inch at a time until you’re done with the adhesive and press the wig from side to side to make it easier to apply.

How to put on a wig with tape adhesives

-Apply a thin protective layer to the lace and scalp.

-Remove the protective paper from one side of the double-sided tape and apply it around the scalp except for the hairline.

-Remove the other protective paper.

-Put the front system in place and then roll it over the scalp. Make sure your hair doesn’t stick to the tape.

-Secure the hair in the scalp and press it flat.

-Use a colored eyebrow pencil to draw a few dots in the lace front.

-Pin the front lace to the back and clip the top of your head with a bobby pin.

-Apply the tape to the hairline until it reaches the dot, but not completely cover them.

-Put the lace front on the tap. Then you can use a comb to flat the lace.

-Brush it to blend with your hair and finish.

Note: to keep the wig in place and provide a natural hairline, you should make sure there is no space between the straps.
